“I did not ask for success. I asked for wonder and You gave it to me.” Abraham Joshua Heschel
As winter creeps across the southern hemisphere, here on the Highveld we leave the rains behind and wake to crispy mornings with blue skies. Join Ilana Stein and the Academy for a morning wander at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, Roodepoort, as we breathe in fresh air, enjoy the delightful Witpoortie Falls (there’s still plenty of water!) and enjoy the wonder of this beautiful spot – just 40 minutes away from Glenhazel.
During our stroll, we’ll talk about some of the plants, the Falls and the birds, beauty and bracha, and what wonder has to do with Judaism. Bring a picnic if you like for after!
Covid-19 protocols will be adhered to – spaces are limited.
