Our Jewish Studies and Hebrew Teachers have never had accredited courses to train and legalise them in SA. We have the opportunity over the next five years, in a once-off project, to professionalise our entire Jewish Educational cohort.
The Academy has spent the past five years creating pathways to such teachers gaining accreditation by SACE (SA Council on Education) which is the minimum requirement for educators to teach legally in South Africa.
Further, the Academy has created local and international qualifications, as well as the funding structure to enable our entire teaching cohort to be legalised now. Thereafter, all new teachers will need to have these qualifications before entering our schools.
